- 1975 - opening of the first European branch in London
- 1979 - opening of the first office in Europe (Düsseldorf, Germany)

NGK Spark Plug Co company. Ltd was based in October, 1936 in Japan. The name of the NGK (NIPPON GAISHI KAISYA) company is translated as Japanese insulator factory. After restructuring in 1997 the company unites three groups:
